Update on the Dog Food at Target!

It's free no matter how you do it!!!!
*************************************************
I e-mailed Hip2Save about the odd way I got free dog food at Target yesterday. She said that it's just Targets registers. So, you may not need to have the Target Q's to get the free food. I will take mine just in case they decide to fix the problem. Either way its free dog food and I like that!!!!
I did order 30 Q's of the $3 off and the BOGO. I spent $12 on those, but I would normally spend more than that on a bag of dog food anyway. So, now I'll just get a whole lot of it for $12. Not to shabby!!

Target 8/24

I went to Target today because we needed dog food and I knew we could get it free!
For the first time in my life, I had a good coupon problem. For some reason, my Man Q's rang up the dry food free. She couldn't even take my Target Q's. I was very confused, but what the heck!!
Total oop $3.27
6 boxes of Poptarts
5 bags of dry Chef Michaels dog food
10 cans of Chef Michaels dog food
1 box of milkbone dog treats
4 bags of Bic mechanical pencils.
I'm going to order more Man. q's from ebay. Even if the cashier messed something up and it doesn't happen again, I get to use the Target Q's its still free dog food!!!
I'm off to Kroger to clean up on some of those deals too!!

CVS 8/23 thru 8/29

I like going to CVS better than Walgreens. It seems like there is always a problem at Walgreens or their cashiers don't know the rules. So I generally avoid it. I will go to CVS this week. I have ECB's that I need to spend before they expire.
I'll post what I did, but here are some of the deals for the week.

How I do what I do...

First, I buy 5 newspapers a week. The going thought is you should buy as many papers as you have people in your family. It seems to work well for our family and we obviousley make the $8.75 a week back in savings.

Second, I check several different savings blogspots a week.
http://www.moneysavingmom.com/
http://www.hip2save.blogspot.com/
http://inexpensively.com/about/ (this is central indy specific)
These are coupon sites that I use a lot.
http://www.meijermealbox.com/
http://www.coupons.com/
http://www.smartsource.com/*******only seems to work on IE
Go to :
http://kroger.com
Load q's onto your Kroger card. P$G, Shortcuts, and Cellfire. Then you can still use the Sunday paper q's ontop of that.

Third, I keep my coupons in two binders. One for food and one non-food. I have baseball card holders to hold the coupons. It works for me! It does take time and effort, but its worth it to me.
